Your new company
This organisation utilises research and development gained between engineers and scientists to advance the growth of a specific type of biological therapy to treat disease. They work alongside individuals within industry and academia to develop these therapies for heath services over the world. Due to growth within the organisation, they are looking to increase their Legal team by appointing a mid level lawyer.


Your new role
The purpose of this role is to assist the Company's legal team. You will advise your colleagues on a wide range of contractual and legal matters. You will lead on negotiations and will work with the Director of Business and Head of Legal on Development to ensure that precedent documents and negotiated agreements meet the needs of the organisation.

You will be a legal expert for the company, providing advice in a wide variety of contractual situations including property leases, collaboration agreements, clinical trial agreements, intellectual property licenses, sales terms and conditions. You will need a broad knowledge of contract law along with an interest in expanding your working knowledge in many diverse areas of legal practice such as State Aid.


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role will need to be a qualified solicitor at 3PQE+. You SHOULD HAVE experience within life science / biotechnology / healthcare companies. You will have a broad experience of dealing with negotiations and ideally will have previously worked with Clinical Trial Agreements using and amending the NHS/ABPI/BIA template agreements (not essential). Experience of dealing with IP contracts will be beneficial. In terms of key competencies, you have the ability to quickly establish credibility, build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders.

For the time being you will need to have access to remote working.
