We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and forward-thinking solicitor/barrister. The work will be challenging but varied and rewarding. You must be able to manage your own cases and work under pressure with minimal supervision and be highly organised with strong communication skills.
Some local government experience would be desirable but is not essential, and you should have recent experience of advising in relation to either Contracts and Commercial Law, Public Procurement, Education or Local Authority Governance. The role will also include the opportunity of supporting and leading on major projects.
We also have a 6 month fixed term contract available.
For an informal discussion please contact Sorriya Richeux (0115 9772945) Sorriya.richeux@nottscc.gov.uk or Catherine Haywood (0115 9772915) catherine.haywood@nottscc.gov.uk
Closing date: 02 November 2020
Interview dates: 11th & 12th November 2020
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
