Consumer Contracts Solicitor | Growing Firm

Our client is looking for a Solicitor/FCILEx or equivalent to work within the Consumer Contract team, which forms part of our clients Civil Litigation Division. You will run a caseload of a wide variety of Civil Litigation cases (Non Personal Injury and non Road Traffic Accident) relating to contractual disputes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Managing a caseload of fast and multi track cases dealing with contract disputes including consumer contract (plumbers, etc), design flaws, computers, defective cars, building work etc

- Dealing with clients on the phone and face to face

- Using our case management system to progress the files

- Billing and invoicing

Skills/Competencies required:

Essential:

1. Strong organisational skills; 2. Pragmatic approach to solving problems; 3. Client focused approach; 4. Excellent communication skills; 5. Ability and knowledge of working with a case management system; 6. IT literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel).

Experience required:

Successful candidates will have a good legal knowledge, and able to demonstrate successful handling of difficult clients. It is essential the successful candidate will have experience of handling their own caseload. Working to tight deadlines is also essential.
