Job Details

Corporate Solicitor

Leeds

QED Legal are working with a Top 50 Law Firm in Leeds who are looking for an NQ Corporate Lawyer, to join their successful practice in the city centre.

From a culture perspective the firm is far removed from some of its competitors. There isn’t a stuffy atmosphere, teams actually do work collaboratively together, there is a genuine drive towards well-being in the workplace – this isn’t just a buzz word for them and something to pop on the website. Staff retention is high with only a small number of fee earners leaving the practice since they arrived in Leeds several years ago.

The wider national Corporate team had a massively successful 2019 being (again) one of the leading practices by M&A deal volume in the UK.

The right candidate will be at NQ level and trained at a national or large regional firm and must be excellent technically. You should be comfortable maintaining and developing existing client relationships and help grow the offering through business development.

The role is really varied and encompasses M&A, Shares and Business transactions for well-known national, international and regional businesses.

The firm continues to grow across all practice areas and now is a really exciting time to be joining them. They are open to meeting for a very informal chat in the first instance for you to get a feel about them to see if the fit works.

The firm offer a competitive financial package + benefits.

If you would like to hear more about the role then please contact Graham Rawlinson at QED Legal for a confidential chat.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
