IN – HOUSE PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR/HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – 4+ PQE – WEST MIDLANDS – JOB REF:1857

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an in-house solicitor, adept at financial planning-led wealth management advice. You will be required to set up and lead a specialist team to draft Wills, Trusts, LPA's and related work for existing clients and to deal with new clients generated from digital and other marketing campaigns. It is important that you have extensive private client legal services experience, an entrepreneurial flair and either legally qualified/registered and have or are working towards a significant Estate Planning qualification (e.g. STEP Certificate in Trusts & Estates). Management experience is preferred, as well as proven experience of managing and developing processes and procedures. Proactively leading and managing the Private Client Legal Services team will be complex and extremely busy, needing you to have a range of skills and an entrepreneurial approach, supporting the delivery of strategic product, proposition, process and system developments, working with both internal stakeholders and third-party partners by providing technical support. Professional, articulate and an excellent communicator, you will have strong problem-solving skills, a proven track record of achieving commercial targets within an estate planning, legal services or financial services environment, the ability to recognise and achieve key targets and to performance manage and create a culture of ownership of each team member. An energetic, tenacious and committed team player, you will raise the profile of the organisation and have the vision to deliver significant growth. Your ability to balance leadership with the right values for the best commercial outcomes, will be a significant factor in your success.
