Your new company
A London based professional regulator for nursers and midwives are seeking a number of interim Paralegals to undertake regulatory casework and undertake initial assessments of allegations of impairment of fitness to practise as received by the Council.
Your new role
You will be expected to review casework that is assigned to you in a timely manner and draft clear, accurate case summaries and recommendations for case progression. You will assist lawyers in the review of the most complex and serious referrals, including drafting cases summaries, evidential matrices and preliminary investigation plans for approval by the lawyer. You will draft and send correspondence to parties in cases where appropriate to do so and will continually review and advise on evidence obtained and the steps required to complete each investigation, as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you should ideally have completed the LPC/BPTC or hold a Law degree. You should have some experience of working in either a medical regulatory role, fitness to practice or have knowledge of tribunals. Experience of interviewing witnesses and taking witness statements is desirable as is previous experience of managing your own caseload.
What you'll get in return
In addition to a competitive rate, you will be working with an experienced and busy legal team. This organisation offers flexible working.
