Employment Solicitor (Claimant)

Remote working opportunity!

West Yorkshire

I am working with a well-known legal services firm in West Yorkshire who are looking for an experienced claimant employment Solicitor or FCILEx to join their busy department in Wakefield.

The role will be perfectly suited to those qualified employment lawyers who have at least 4 years qualified experience of dealing with claimant work. Lawyers with a mixed defendant and claimant background would be considered should they have the right claimant experience.

The nature of the work comes predominantly from family protection insurance policies and as such the majority of this role if required can be dealt with remotely. There is the option to either work in the office or in an agile manner or a mixture of both, which in the current climate may present a perfect scenario for someone.

The work is a broad mix of claimant employment advice including good Employment Tribunal knowledge and dealing with matters such as unfair, constructive and wrongful dismissal, unfair selection for redundancy, discrimination under the Equality Act, whistleblowing etc. You will also be responsible for advising on and concluding settlement agreements.

If you are a looking for a truly agile role where you can really balance work and everything that is important outside of it, then this may well be the ideal opportunity for you.

Salary is competitive + great benefits including: pension, life assurance, healthcare plan and bonus

If you would like to hear more about this role then please contact Graham Rawlinson at QED Legal for a confidential chat.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
