We are seeking to recruit an ambitious individual who wants to forge or continue a meaningful career in teaching and course design in Higher Education. You may or may not have previous experience of teaching and course design, but what is important to us is that you have the drive and enthusiasm to learn.

Teaching in Higher Education can be challenging but rewarding and we are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who is ready to make a positive contribution. You will be keen to share your expertise and to become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience at our Bloomsbury campus, including teaching on our LLB, LPC, GDL, MA, BPC and/or Masters programmes. In return, we will guarantee you a supportive and friendly environment where considerable opportunities for learning and career development exist for the right people.

Are you ready to join our dynamic team and help contribute to our success?

The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world’s largest law schools. With an impressive history going back to 1876, we employ c750 staff and have over 9000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. ULaw has an outstanding reputation as a full service legal and educational training specialist, operating from thirteen campuses throughout the UK, as well as in Hong Kong and Berlin, with additional global reach through online and face to face provision. We have recently been ranked number one for undergraduate law degree acceptances by UCAS.

We are looking to recruit a law tutor – either a qualified solicitor or barrister who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience to teach on our academic and vocational courses. As part of the tutor development programme, we will also support you to study for a recognised teaching qualification.

If you would like an informal discussion prior to application, please phone or email Sarah Corbett - 01483 216535 or sarah.corbett@law.ac.uk

Closing date: 15 November 2020

No agencies please.

Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check - you will be notified of this during the application process.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University - which does not reflect our diverse student body - we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
