This rapidly expanding and entrepreneurial firm are now seeking an existing Partner or ambitious Lawyer to join their dynamic, forward thinking team in Cambridge.

This firm have consistently won Legal & Industry specific awards across their wide-ranging practice areas due to their commercially astute and technically strong staff - many of who are recognised in the Legal 500 & Chambers guides.

They are a leading regional firm with an outstanding client base who contend with the larger national firms, they have achieved this by hiring entrepreneurial Partners who are looking to bring their experience to a leading firm where they will be rewarded with full autonomy, support and backing from a Top200UK Firm.

The Firm

The firm have grown significantly over the past few years and show no signs of stopping with 2 recent acquisitions, and a total of 500 employees across the country.

The Partners have decided that due to ongoing success, they wish to further their offering in Cambridge and for this reason they are seeking client facing, business development excelling entrepreneurial Partners to join their leading Top200UK Firm, who can provide a comprehensive support network.

This firm are dedicated to investing and developing their Cambridge offering which has created a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial Partner to bring their experience to an innovative and rapidly expanding firm.

This practice are open to hearing from Senior Management, entrepreneurial Partners and entire departments who are looking to take their contacts and experience to a dynamic, flexible and forward-thinking Top 200 UK Firm offering full autonomy, support and further career development for all.

The Role

The firm are seeking to hire an Employment Partner to join their rapidly expanding Cambridge office.

You will be responsible for building or developing your own client base in the region, adopting the firm's ethos and working alongside the other Partners to build the brand further ensuring future success for your department and the office as a whole.

Therefore, you must be client facing, business development focused and entrepreneurial to increase their Employment offering throughout the Cambridgeshire and East Anglia region.

Although this opportunity will be based around your specialist areas, you will be expected to have a broad knowledge across all areas of contentious and non-contentious Employment Law including:

  • Complex TUPE,
  • Employment contracts,
  • Restructuring
  • Grievances, discipline, bullying and settlement agreements

They are now looking for a client facing Partner with significant business development experienced to join them in an autonomous role, reporting to the Managing Partner.

Requirements

  • You will be an experienced Employment Solicitor or Partner with at least 8 years PQE +
  • Experience of managing and mentoring more junior colleagues is advantageous
  • You should have first-class communication, outstanding business development skills and an entrepreneurial flair
  • A transferable client base or regional contacts is highly advantageous
