Locum Committee Team Leader – £25 to £35 per hour – West Midlands – Remote Working
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Committee Team Leader to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This role will operate on a full-time basis for an initial period of 3 months.
This assignment will operate on a remote working basis for the foreseeable future, but there may be some expectation for office presence as and when required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating in a similar position within Democratic Services in a Local Authority.
Duties may include:
- To develop, promote and achieve innovative, effective and economical provision of democratic support services using flexible working methods, new technologies and new administrative procedures.
- To ensure that all decision-making processes are organised, convened and serviced in accordance with statutory requirements and best administrative practice to facilitate effective decision-making and consultation.
- To support the Head of Service, senior management and Councillors in the involvement of local stakeholders in the democratic processes.
- Provide support and advice to Committees and their Chairs, preparing Work Programmes, plan and organise meetings and to undertake all necessary action to progress and secure meeting outcomes.
- Ensure that all decisions are recorded accurately and available to all internal and external stakeholders within service deadlines.
- Compile performance monitoring information on City Council decision making and other bodies, where relevant, by questionnaires and other communications in liaison with senior officers and Chairs.
