The Role

The firm are looking for an Insolvency Partner to join their flourishing Manchester office.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the litigation department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team.

You will mentor and oversee the work of junior Lawyers and help them to progress in their careers.

The firm have a small specialist Restructuring / Insolvency team which sits under the litigation arm of the practice. The Litigation team are ranked highly in the Legal 500. The team are dynamic and punch above their weight often acting on the other side of large, International city practices.

You will find that the work is broad, this variedness will make for an interesting caseload. You will work across a wide range of industry sectors.

The caseload will include but not be limited to; Insolvencies, administrations, receiverships, bankruptcies, restructurings, and liquidations.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda. The firm are succession planning are keen to find the next generation of senior Lawyers.

Requirements

• You will be a Restructuring / Insolvency Lawyer with at least 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
• You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
• A transferable client base or regional contacts is highly advantageous
• You will have good experience of dealing with large settlements
• You will have strong business development capabilities
• Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
