QED Legal are working with a well ranked Top 200 firm based in Leeds city centre with an excellent reputation across their practice areas. They offer a high level of work with excellent prospects of progression.
They are looking for a Construction Solicitor with at least 1 year experience to join their busy team in in their expanding Leeds office.
The construction team acts for an interesting mix of public sector bodies, large property portfolio-holders, institutional investors, and in the retail, education and leisure sectors.
The contentious construction team deal with disputes relating to all forms of construction contracts, warranties, payment disputes and professional negligence. There is a wide variety of good quality work available in this supportive team, so it is a great place to learn and develop your skills.
You will be a Construction Solicitor with at between 1-6 years’ PQE in both contentious and non-contentious work. Along with your legal knowledge, you should have excellent client facing skills and the desire to grow your practice through active business development.
Whilst the firm are ‘commercial’ and feature prominently in the Legal 500 over a number of commercial areas of law, the feel is friendlier and less corporate than at other national practices. The firm recognise a balance between work and home life, and feel they offer a culture that reflects this.
