A local and well respected firm with several offices in West Sussex are seeking to add to what is an already established and successful Private client team. The firm have grown steadily and raised its reputation substantially in the last few years attracting some excellent personnel to what is now a very strong offering, acting for local, national and international Clients. The private client team can boast some highly qualified and and experienced solicitor which includes STEP qualified individuals and a Panel Deputy for the Court of Protection. 

The team are looking to appoint a newly qualified solicitor or a solicitor / legal executive with up to two years fee earning experience. The role's key focus is Estate Administration and Trusts, therefore good working knowledge of the entire Estate Administration process as well as the ability deal with estates subject to IHT and other taxes is a key skill to bring to the team. To succeed in the role you should have the following expertise:

  • The ability to run, set up and end Trusts. 
  • Knowledge of property applications (within the context of estates and Trusts).
  • Working knowledge of the current tax regime.
  • The ability to write Wills and LPAs and provide future planning advice to clients
  • Empathy and the ability to deal with clients at vulnerable stages in their lives with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Manage your own case load and largely work independently on your own initiative.
