Locum Litigation and Planning Lawyer – Outside IR35 – 6 months – Remote Working

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are recruiting a Locum Litigation and Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team in the West Midlands on a remote working basis. This assignment is for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension thereafter dependent upon workload.


The Council are looking for someone to start as soon as possible to assist with matters to include licensing, planning, highways, housing, compulsory purchase, village greens, trading standards, environmental health and other regulatory and contentious matters.

The ideal candidate will be able to evidence experience of conducting advocacy in contentious cases on behalf of Local Authorities. Experience of planning committees, complaints investigations and information law would be beneficial.

This position offers an hourly rate of £35 - £45 per hour (umbrella/limited). Both full-time and part-time applicants are encouraged to apply, however to be considered candidates must have capacity for a minimum of three days per week.
