Locum Litigation Solicitor

Locum Litigation Solicitor – East Midlands – £30 – 40 per hour – Part-time

Venn Group's specialist legal team are recruiting a Locum Litigation Solicitor for a Local Authority based in the East Midlands.

The team are looking for someone to carry out this role for an initial period of 2 months, on a remote working basis for two to three days per week.

The successful applicant will be able to advise the Authority on a range of Criminal and Civil Litigation matters, ranging from small to multi-track claims. Candidates with a broad range of experience across different areas of litigation are encouraged to apply.

Duties may include:

• Representing the Council in contested hearings
• Managing a mixed caseload of civil and criminal litigation, with a focus on criminal matters
• Handling ASB injunctions and possessions
• Responsibility for regulatory prosecutions and general housing matters
• Providing advice on planning and enforcement issues

A rate of between £35 and £45 per hour is offered, entirely dependent upon experience.
