Award winning, cutting edge law firm is looking for a Data Protection, Cyber & Information Law specialist to lead their team.

This firm is like no other, with a unique model and completely different approach to how they represent their clients. This is a multi-site firm which represents a wide range of clients, from small owner-managed businesses to national charities and large multi-national corporates. They are pioneers in reframing the delivery of legal services, using legal expertise and ground-breaking digital tools to proactively manage, educate and advise clients, reducing their legal risk.

The team provides advisory and technical legal support to assist clients in improving their data management and information security systems and to rapidly respond to data loss and cyber breach threats and incidents. They regularly represent clients who are under investigation by the police, Information Commissioner's Office and other regulatory authorities. Covering the full spectrum of data protection, cyber & information law issues, the team's work is extremely extensive.

The role is also unique in that it involves not only advising external clients on data protection, cyber & information law issues, but also internally advising this law firm on the same issues. The role is extremely client facing.

Due to the continued growth and success of the team, the firm is now looking for the right person to take it to its next phase of growth. There are a number of key qualities this firm is looking for in their successful candidate:

- an experienced qualified solicitor or barrister with a litigation background

- an experienced practitioner in data and information law with a recognised information law/management qualification and at least 6 years post qualification experience, ideally gained from working in a data protection/cyber security role in a law firm, or in a large private sector organisation

- comfortable handling a broad mix of advisory, transactional and litigation data protection, privacy, freedom of information and information law matters.

- a successful leader in data protection, cyber & information law or someone with a proven track record in this discipline who is now keen to demonstrate their leadership skills

- someone who is versatile and experienced enough to manage a team in addition to advising both external clients as well as the law firm itself

- someone who enjoys advocacy and plenty of client contact

This really is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to make their mark and develop their career in a firm that is committed to your future development.
