A long established law firm in Chichester, West Sussex are looking to recuit a Senior Private Client Lawyer with extensive experience in Tax and Trusts.

You'll be joining a busy private client department at senior level where you'll handle tax/trusts matters including trust administration and accounting, with extensive tax work, including the preparation of tax returns and associated compliance.

You'll have plenty on clinet contact and undertake the following duties Trust and Estate tax returns and personal tax returns, including related tax calculations using the firm's software (IRIS). All related correspondence with clients, HM Revenue & Customs and third parties as required. Monitoring and working to related deadlines.

In addition, you'll prepare trust accounts, monitor deadlines on Trusts and Estates such as ten yearly charges and beneficial entitlements.
Dealing with the day-to-day administration on clients, IHT returns for trusts and estates and undertake ad-hoc advisory work such as advising on trust distrubutors.

You must be a qualified Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive with extensive experience in handling trusts and tax matters gained in a similar environment. STEP, ATT or CTA qualifications would be advantageous. You will be IT literate, with experience of using case management and tax software (ideally IRIS).
