Locum Contracts & Procurement Lawyer – East Anglia – up to £45 – Remote Working
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in the East Anglia for a period of 3 months initially with the view to extend. The position will be worked remotely for the foreseeable future and on either a full time or part time basis.
Duties may include:
Drafting documentation that achieves clients’ objectives and to negotiate and settle documentation with their third parties
Providing high quality legal advice and assistance on contract and commercial matters to client departments across the Local Authority
Maintaining awareness of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice
Handling a mixed caseload of Contracts to include Public Health Contracts, Grant Agreements and Academies
Assisting with general contracts queries and pre dispute matters
The ideal candidate will be from a Public Sector background or have dealt with public sector clients in a private practice setting. Candidates must be experienced within the area of Procurement and Contracts and be able to pick up a busy existing caseload.
This role offers an attractive hourly rate of between £40-45 per hour (umbrella rate) dependent upon experience.
