PARTNER £ FOR SOLICITOR OUTPUT

Our client is a leading challenger brand, engaging experienced lawyers nationally on a fee split of up to 90%. Hence for Solicitor output (say £150K) you will genuinely expect Partner level remuneration (over £100K). Most experienced Solicitors know this to be well within their capabilities, but certainly in a typical firm it would not be enough to justify that level of pay. What sets this brand apart is the level of support and interest and commitment they have for their lawyers.

This model will suit two kinds of lawyer:

1) Those who want to maximise their personal earnings from their client relationships. Ambitious and frustrated lawyers who know they can attract work but want autonomy and stronger remuneration directly related to their own performance. In a traditional firm it's hard to get Partnership and it's financial value is not necessarily likely to increase rapidly, whereas in this firm you are responsible for what you earn. It's a direct formulaic relationship without being beholden to the political whims of anyone else.

2) Those wanting freedom and flexibility. Lawyers wanting a working lifestyle they can determine for themselves, be that part-time, working remotely, or factoring substantial time away from work into your annual calendar - you set your work patterns according to what you want, and what your clients are happy with. You'll not be judged, as this choice is a fundamental core principle of this business.

What it wont suit is lawyers needing close technical supervision, or who can't find work for themselves from their own professional relationships. If you need training or sustaining then realistically you're not yet ready for this move.

Specific to this particular firm, they are committed to only engaging people for whom this will work and so they'll make sure a candidate does their diligence and is fully aware of how it will work in reality. So there'll be a recruitment process that includes working up a business plan and asking yourself some direct questions about the responsibility for finding your own work. What this firm don't want is failed hires or unhappy lawyers. Attracting people with great promises is not hard, but delivering on them to a happy workforce is a responsibility this brand takes very seriously.
