Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Magistrates Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor to join a well-established, award-winning, Lexcel accredited law firm, working from their office in Coventry.
Candidates should be located within easy reach of Coventry, Warwickshire, and Perry Bar Police Stations, so will ideally reside in Coventry, Warwickshire, Birmingham or South Leicestershire. A minimum of three years’ PQE as a Criminal Duty Solicitor is desirable, as well as a following of clients.
The role will involve handling your own caseload of criminal matters, representing clients at the police station as a Duty Solicitor and acting as an advocate in court. Caseloads will be wide-ranging. You will be responsible for assisting clients who are under arrest or being investigated by the police or other authorities as well as advising and representing clients who are prosecuted in court.
This is a full-time permanent position with genuine opportunities for long term career advancement. Candidates must have the flexibility to work outside office hours and travel to other locations as required.
Location: Coventry
Salary: £30-40k (salary is given as guideline and will be dependent on experience)
