Role Title: Commercial Solicitor
Location: Maidstone
Salary: Dependent on Experience

A rare role for a seasoned commercial contracts generalist with this busy, entrepreneurial Kent based practice has arisen.

You will likely have a background working in a smaller city/mid tier practice and be able to handle a wide range of work.

Our client is a leading practice with a strong reputation for its commercial service both across the public and private sectors. This role is based in Maidstone.

The work profile is of an excellent quality and the firm has strong growth ambitions coupled with a ingrained collegiate approach to working.

The commercial team provides a broad spectrum of services across commercial agreements (outsourcing and supply, licensing and IP) together with providing key support within the public sector on procurement and implementation of a number of significant schemes.

The role the team are recruiting for sits at around Senior Associate level so on a practical basis their expectation sits at around 5 years+ (though they could consider more junior applicants if you have demonstrable experience from a leading City or regional firm).

In terms of what you can expect, the role will be to support the Team Lead by providing non-contentious legal advice in connection with a broad range of companies both locally, nationally and internationally with a particular strong reputation in the sustainable/renewable energy and technology sectors. This is an opportunity to undertake cutting-edge City quality work with a regional-feel work life balance/ethos.

In addition you will be expected to handle an array of commercial supply-chain contracts, distribution terms and conditions (sale and purchase), franchise, agency, contract manufacturing as typical examples; which would include strategic planning advice, drafting appropriate documentation/ contracts and negotiating the same on behalf of clients.

Consequently there is a lot of depth and breadth to the role despite the public sector driven aspects of it and the nature of client means that you will forge close working relationships as a key strategic advisor making this a role that has close symmetry with In-House.

This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to further develop their skills and reputation in this practice area at a firm committed to ambitious growth and where individual commercial innovation is actively encouraged.

Please note salary has been generated by Kinton Blake for guidance only.

If you are an experienced commercial contracts lawyer, whether within private practice or In-House who thinks they fit the bill and are open to confidential discussion, please contact Sophia Morris at Kinton Blake on 01273 462666 for a confidential discussion and more information or please send your CV across for immediate consideration.
