A strong regional law firm in the North East have a fantastic opportunity in their Newcastle upon Tyne office for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor. The firm are focusing on this piece of strategic recruitment and this would be an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor looking to make a new role their own. This is an opportunity in the current legal market that could really take your career from purely fee earning into a developmental role.

Our client currently has a broad Litigation department dealing with civil litigation matters and matrimonial matters as well as commercial litigation. However, with the increase in commercial matters out client is looking to separate the commercial matters and have a separate commercial litigation department and therefore have a figurehead for this team.

In this role you would be working on a variety of commercial litigation matters including commercial landlord and tenant matters, general property disputes and shareholder disputes. You would work closely with the commercial property department who have received lots of property litigation enquiries from their existing clients and further develop the work.

As the firm are looking to grow their commercial litigation offering, there would naturally be an element of business development involved in the role. You would also have a dedicated paralegal to support you, allowing you to focus on fee earning and development of the team. It is envisaged the team will further expand and you will be involved in this process.

Our client encourages applications from Commercial Litigation Solicitors with upwards of 4 years PQE. Experience of commercial Landlord and Tenant and general property litigation would be ideal, and those with more diverse experience than this are encouraged to apply. You must also have an interest in business development and be an ambitious, driven individual wanting to make a name for yourself in this career changing role.
