Rare opening at this popular City firm for an experienced share schemes assistant to handle wide range of work from advising on high-value transactions to assisting start-up companies and US inbound companies wanting to incentivise UK employees. Clients include major corporates in the technology sector, private equity houses and overseas companies setting up in the UK.Examples of work handled by the team include advising on:

the tax aspects of equity structuring in relation to management for a wide range of companies, for example, hurdle share schemes
• cross border issues including inward bound start ups and co-ordination of advice from Europe for US clients
• takeovers, mergers and acquisitions
• all types of approved and unapproved share plans and structuring, in particular, EMI and CSOP
• employment tax and NIC issues on cross border employees and advising on tax and NIC on termination of employment

The role is initially offered on a fixed term contract basis but potentially could be made permanent for the right person.
