REGULATORY PARTNER - YORKSHIRE

Growing Top 100 brand with national office coverage is looking for a Regulatory Partner to lead this service line in Yorkshire and the North East. Whilst the firm does have 'regulatory' expertise in other regions it is not yet established in Yorkshire and the North East so this is a significant opportunity to integrate into a full service firm and have exposure to a substantial client list.

A suitable applicant will likely already be at Director or Partner level so as to be able to operate autonomously. You'll have a proven skills set across a range of health and safety type work, environmental, and perhaps such as trading standards or licensing, as oppose to financial regulatory or white collar crime. The firm thrives on large independent businesses and SME/OMBs as oppose to focusing on blue-chip clients, though they do have the capacity to act for plcs across the UK. Given your track record the firm will hope you'll have a client list, network, or following of work to bring, or at least a demonstrable ability to attract work as business generation will be an important part of the role. Candidates outside the region but who want to relocate and perhaps still maintain existing client links would be very much of interest as the firm isn't wanting to restrict the geography of any particular practise.

The firm has a collegiate culture, and is aiming to operate on a more open buiness model than traditional partnerships. You can expect a flatter structure, and remuneration predomnantly by fixed substantial salary as oppose to equity. The focus is intended to be very much on the client, and through team working and a focus on quality of commercial delivery of legal services, as oppose to billable targets. For candidates perhaps disillusioned with "the bear pit" of larger firms this brand will present something refreshingly different.

A substantial opportunity for a Regulatory Partner with a rising brand.

Brooke Thornham Consulting advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.

Company

Brooke Thornham Consulting is a legal recruitment business established in April 2018 as a partial continuation of a previous brand which had enjoyed a successful 10 years of trading from 2007 and built a stellar reputation. With offices in Leeds, we specialise in the recruitment of Solicitors from Newly Qualified through to Partner level, and our focus is on the commercial market.

We are well networked with clients in the north of England where we serve an enviable client list encompassing Top 20 national brands and also regional practices and boutique firms. Our trade mark is our pragmatism, and trying to offer value at every opportunity.

We believe that when you give more, you get more. That’s why we’re generous with our time and expertise, and why we go out of our way to understand you, share our knowledge and add something extra – every time you work with us.

We’re experts in our field – and we get results. But over time, we develop something even more important: the intuitive understanding that really special relationships are built on.
