Job Details
Salary: Up to £75,000 basic
Location: Manchester
Flexibility: All remote due to Covid. Some flexibility post-Covid restrictions but there will be office based requirement in Manchester so this must be feasible.
My client, a FTSE listed, global brand in the manufacturing sector, are looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to work within their legal function, working closely with the General Counsel & Company Secretary on a wide array of legal matters.
As a senior member of the legal team, you will be responsible for advising on the below areas, multi-jurisdictionally:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (incl. agency /distribution contracts, supplier agreements, marketing, advertising and sponsorship contracts etc… ) and provide support to the Purchasing, Logistics, Sales and Marketing teams
- Advising on Corporate M&A activities, incl. due diligence for potential UK and global deals and working with external counsel on wider matters.
- Other ad-hoc legal work including advising on disputes, potential litigation, property, IP, Compliance and Data Protection.
This position comes with a clear progression plan towards a Head of Legal/GC position and the opportunity to develop good in-house experience (including Company Secretarial responsibilities) within a listed business.
Candidates from 5 PQE upwards will be considered for the position and a good grounding in Commercial and/or Corporate law will be of interest.
