Your new company
Our client is part of a Bluechip business offering outsourced professional services to SPV companies. Their environment is down to earth and fast paced with a passion for client service; they currently have a rare opening for a Company Secretary to join their team in Gloucestershire.Reporting into the Head of SPV Finance, this is an excellent opportunity for a company secretary who is looking for an autonomous position with plenty of stakeholder contact. This role will be initially offered on a 6 month FTC basis, however it is very likely that the successful candidate will be made permanent.

Your new role
As Company Secretary, you will enjoy a varied role. You will be responsible for ensuring that the business complies with statutory requirements and maintains high standards of corporate governance. You will act as the main point of communication for the board of directors, lenders, solicitors and company shareholders and you will be responsible for SPV companies as required. You will ensure all assets and liabilities of LIFT companies are accurately recorded and reconciled and will be responsible to the board of LIFT companies and 2 authority controlled centers, providing guidance and technical assistance to stakeholder members as necessary. Controlling Insurance renewals and claims and a lender required valuation processes of the premises within the portfolios.This is in addition to attending board meetings, taking and issuing minutes, preparing and issuing Board papers as required and assisting Managers in complying with company policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have substantial company secretary experience, either as a qualified company secretary or someone with recent experience in this field who is studying towards your ICSA qualifications. You will have a diplomatic approach and the confidence to provide support to high-profile company staff and board members, and a commercial frame of mind. You will have experience of drafting relevant Company House forms and documents and relevant Board Minutes and Resolutions as required, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels. It is essential that you have excellent attention to detail, a well-organised approach to work and the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure. Experience of working within a large corporate/FTSE 250 company would be desirable.
