This firm are seeing substantial growth which has resulted in them acquiring more space to facilitate further development in Cambridge.

It is due to this expansion that they are now looking to make a key strategic hire into their Immigration team to champion their offering throughout Cambridgeshire & East Anglia.

They have an outstanding reputation nationwide with many of their Partners recommended in Chambers & Legal 500 giving you the opportunity to join a very high-profile senior management team.

The role is to be based in the heart of Cambridge; however, they have a network of offices throughout Europe. The firm is known globally for their extensive network of ultra HNW individuals and privately and publicly owned businesses. The practice is multi-service and are highly regarded in a majority of their chosen fields, they attract clients from a wide variety of business sectors which makes for a varied and exciting role.

The Role

The firm is seeking to recruit an experienced Immigration Lawyer to further build their offering in Cambridge

The Immigration department is highly regarded nationally, and there is a significant commitment from the business to further develop this offering into the Cambridge region.

The Immigration department in London, who will refer work to Cambridge, are currently thriving - they deal with a varied caseload, often acting for HNW individuals, company owner's entrepreneurs.

Both based in the UK and non-UK clients dealing with a varied caseload including;

  • Tier 1 entrepreneur visa
  • Sponsor licence tier 2 applications
  • Tier 2 compliance
  • Advising businesses from SME to FTSE 250
  • Acting for Tier 1 "high-value migrants"
  • Leave to remain
  • Extensions to work permits

They will provide you with full support and offer autonomy for you to achieve growth in Cambridge, to develop the department further.

Should you have a transferrable client base, or regional contacts, this firm will assist with the onboarding as well as offering full support for you to service this portfolio in your new role.

Requirements:

  • You will be an Immigration Lawyer or Partner with at least 6 years PQE
  • (There is no upper limit regarding the amount of PQE)
  • Experience of building and managing a team of fee earners, is highly advantageous
  • You will be technically strong and have a meticulous eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of PQE and level of following/ contacts
  • This position is also open to Partners looking to relocate to Cambridge
