Senior Litigation Solicitor/ Barrister/ Legal Executive

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Litigation Solicitor to join a Kent based Local Authority on a permanent basis.

As a Litigation Solicitor you will undertake a range of Litigation matters; the biggest area of Litigation being around Housing/ Disrepair. You will work on matters involving Secure Tenancies and undertake prosecutions in the Magistrate and Crown Court in relation to Rent arrears and Anti-Social Behaviour. You will have a good understanding of how the County and High Courts work, as well as Civil procedure rules.

In addition to Housing Litigation you will also be exposed to Criminal matters, such as fly-tipping and dropping of litter, along with Regulatory matters. Therefore you will have an understanding of Acts of Parliament, you will have excellent drafting skills and be confident providing advice. You will also cover matters relating to licensing and have experience attending licensing committees. You will also work on Judicial Review matters.

This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for a consistent range of interesting work, as well as those looking to step into a Senior position. 5+ years' PQE candidates will be considered and Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives coming from a Private Practice background are also encouraged to apply.
