Commercial Litigation Partner

A skilled Commercial Litigation Partner is required to join a highly successful commercial practice. This is a career changing role and our client is looking to bring a Commercial Litigation Partner, either junior or equity, or Senior Associate with a view to quickly becoming a Partner, into its Leeds office.

The firm is relatively recently established in the Yorkshire market and so this is an opportunity to join the practice at a really exciting stage in its life cycle, with plenty of support from its wider offices. The firm already has a great reputation and given the success of the firm and the amount of quality disputed work they are managing, our client is seeking a Commercial Litigation Partner to join the team at a senior level, working closely with the wider firm on complex litigated matters.

The Role
- This is a standalone role and to be the first litigator within a recently established office in Leeds, however the wider team is a sizeable team of six and work on high profile quality commercial litigation matters and have recently won a couple high profile and high value disputes in Court.
-The team manage a wide variety of matters including complex contractual disputes, shareholder and director disputes, a small amount of property disputes and large professional negligence disputes. The team do not manage any litigated debt matters.
-The team have recently managed high value engineering contract disputes, injunctions, and some high value complex work.

The Person
-You must be an Associate or equivalent within another highly regarded commercial litigation department. If is envisaged, you will have upwards of six years post qualification experience.
-There is no necessity to have a following of work, whilst contacts are valuable, the firm is happy to consider those without.
