Job Details
Boutique law firm in East Yorkshire with a national and international reputation require a shipping solicitor to join their team.
This firm may be small but there is absolutely no compromise on quality. They are legal leaders is the transport sector. They employ specialists who have national reputations in their respective fields and they have access to an impressive network of foreign lawyers, consultants and experts who can be engaged when required.
Whilst this is a private practice, the firm operate more like an in-house organisation for instance they don't have individual time recording targets, they work as one team and have a monthly target, they have a laid back yet hard working ethos and there is not an expectation to work long hours. People genuinely get on and feel supported.
The firm is looking for a shipping solicitor to join their supportive team and handle dry shipping work. Whilst they ideally would like to find someone with dry shipping experience, they appreciate these people are scarce, especially in the East Yorkshire market, therefore, they are happy to consider candidates with solid commercial litigation experience looking to make a genuine retrain move into shipping law. The work is complex and high value but extremely interesting, often with an international element to it.
The firm is open minded in in terms of PQE, however, require someone with at least 2 years PQE. They can be open to someone working part of the week from home if not local to their East Yorkshire base.
