LAW Absolute is working with a local authority in Berkshire in their search for an interim Data Protection Officer.
The successful candidate will be required to lead on various data protection matters particularly in relation to several ICO recommendations that need to be implemented. Our client is seeking a candidate with a wealth of knowledge in this area and someone that can implement new processes, work through the various recommendations, roll out changes to the workforce and liaise with the ICO inspector when they return in the coming months.
This is a three-month initial role and 100% remote working. Our client is open to qualified lawyers with experience in this area or non-qualified candidates with a wealth of experience working as a Data Protection Officer. This role will report into the Director and will require someone with excellent communication skills and ideally experience working with Senior Managers.
Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are only able to consider candidates with a maximum 3-week notice period. Previous local government experience would be advantageous.
