Commercial Contracts and Planning Lawyer

LAW Absolute is working with a local authority based in London who are seeking a Commercial Contracts and Planning Lawyer for three months initially. The role is to start ASAP.

The successful candidate will be required to carry a mixed caseload of commercial contracts and planning work. As a qualified solicitor or barrister you will have a good knowledge of the law and will be asked to work as part of a well-established and supportive team.

On the commercial contracts side you will have knowledge of public procurement rules, contract drafting, knowledge of TUPE and data protection legislation. With regards to the planning element, you will carry a caseload of S.106 agreements, case manage planning inquiries, advise clients, draft licences and manage some highways matters. You will on occasion be required to manage high profile cases attracting public interest.

Due to the urgent nature of the role, you must be available on no more than two weeks’ notice. This is a remote working position due to the current Covid-19 situation.
