Overview

We are seeking to recruit permanent children’s social care lawyers for our legal practice HB Public Law (HBPL).

HB Public Law is one of the country’s leading shared local authority legal practices between a number of North West London boroughs; it is Lexcel accredited and we pride ourselves on delivering a high quality service.

About you

The successful candidate will be required to carry a full caseload.  Childcare lawyers are expected to provide advice and attend meetings in order to provide advice on all matters relating to children’s social care functions, including public law care proceedings, adoption, child protection and fostering. There is an opportunity to represent social care clients in court proceedings where required. Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply for this position, as the practice’s current staff base is drawn from both sectors.

The role is a career graded post encompassing grades G10, G11 and MG1.  Internal applications for advancement to the next grade are considered on an annual basis.
