CHILDCARE/SAFEGUARDING LAWYER – 4+PQE - £EXCELLENT – LOCUM POSITION – REMOTE WORKING – JOB REF:3005

OVERVIEW:
A Childcare/Safeguarding Lawyer is required by a busy local authority on a locum basis to cover a period of permanent recruitment. The appointed Locum Solicitor will be responsible for providing legal advice relating to child safeguarding proceedings, drafting suitable documentation, proceedings correspondence and reports, attending meetings of committees and groups and conducting advocacy in Courts and Tribunals. The advocacy element of this role is an essential part of the job so experience of this gained in previous roles is essential. Solicitors, Barristers and Legal Executives with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in child safeguarding work are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be experienced in, and confident in their ability to, provide swift and accurate legal advice and undertake all work assigned to them in a competent and professional manner. A good eye for detail is key along with the ability to work to strict deadlines. The successful Childcare/Safeguarding Lawyer must be able to hit the ground running with an existing caseload of matters.
