A London law firm employing 400+ staff across a network of offices and supplying clients in the private and public sector with high quality legal advice has a requirement for a Commercial Solicitor with at least 2 + years PQE.
The firm act for a wide range of long standing clients in both the public and private sector, including all forms of NHS organisations, governmental and regulatory bodies, registered providers, insurers, police, fire and rescue services, independent health and social care providers, charities and GP practices.
The firm's national projects and regeneration team carries out a full range of property work including development and construction work for its housing association and social care clients. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of high quality and complex commercial work primarily for the public sector housing association and healthcare clients.
The role will involve responsibility for your own caseload as well as working closely with the partners and solicitors of the commercial teams on business development opportunities. A genuine interest in growing business from existing clients as well as targeting and attracting new clients is therefore very important. The firm don't believe in standing still so all the team are encouraged to get out there, raise their profile and network in order to help grow the department and promote their career prospects.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded solicitor who can work very closely with clients, provide first class practical advice and who is technically proficient in drafting and advising on a range of contractual agreements, including service contracts, joint venture arrangement, contracts for the supply of goods and services and IT / software related contractual arrangements .
Prior experience in social housing or in healthcare will be an advantage.
