The Role:

The firm is now looking to strengthen its Legal 500 recognised IP team with a commercially astute and technically strong IP Associate, in their Manchester City Centre office.

You will join a high performing IP team as they continue to attract exciting, high-profile work. The team undertakes both contentious & non-contentious Intellectual Property matters including patents, copyright, designs and trademarks, in addition to malicious falsehood and defamation. The team has a particularly strong track record in multi-jurisdictional patent and trademark disputes. The variety and complexity of work and the size of deals that the team undertakes make for an interesting and versatile role.

Many of the lawyers in the team have industry-related experience, and due to this, they can truly understand the needs of their client base, which gives them an edge on their competitors. You will be surrounded by some of the most technically strong IP Lawyers in the country, with all three of the team's Partners being recognised as 'Leading Individuals'.

Requirements:

• You will be an IP Associate with a minimum of 3 years PQE (there is no upper limit in regards to the amount of experience)
• Experience across both contentious & non-contentious Intellectual Property law
• The ability to manage a caseload of high calibre work and clients
• You will be commercially minded and have a flair for business development
