University Solicitor

Location: Pontypridd

Salary: The starting salary for this position is £60,905.00 per annum. This position enjoys the benefit of annual progression through the scale up to £66,539.00 per annum.

The role is based within the University Secretary’s Office, a relatively small department which encompasses University Governance; Compliance and Welsh.

Most of the University’s staff are currently working remotely due to the ongoing pandemic, however the role will be based primarily in Pontypridd. This role will utilise your knowledge and expertise to influence decisions at the highest level and lead on a wide variety of legal matters.

The University Solicitor will report directly to the University Secretary and will be required to provide expert legal advice and support to staff across the University. The successful candidate will have a pro-active and pragmatic attitude to work and will be able to work effectively with others.

This is a full time, permanent post.

If you are a successful external candidate for this position, you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges, and your start date will be no earlier than 1st April 2021.
