Are you looking for an opportunity to work for an ambitious law firm with a proven track record of developing legal talent? Do you have Partnership in your sights and want to have a clear path to get there?

This Top 50 law firm is renowned for its ability to nurture, develop, and empower legal talent, and you will find that the majority of their Partners are homegrown. You can also expect to gain exposure to high-value work with an enviable client list made up of household names and global companies, which will put you years ahead of your PQE.

The Firm:

This firm is multi-award winning and has received numerous accolades in national press in recent years. They have gone from strength to strength throughout 2020 and have ambitious plans to build on this in the coming years. This ambition is shared across the firm, and everyone from Managing Partner to support staff have a clear vision for the future and know what is required to get there. In addition to building on the organic growth they have achieved in the UK, they have plans to expand on to the international stage as their client base becomes increasingly global. This means that the opportunity to progress and grow with the firm is genuinely unlimited.

The firm has a long and deep-rooted history, dating as far back as the 18th Century. Whilst this means that they have an impressive roster of loyal clients, their fresh, modern and cutting-edge approach mean they are continually attracting new, and more prominent clients. They have established themselves as the 'go-to' firm across several sectors, with a particular focus on insurance, commerce, and the health and care industry. You will find a range of clients, from OMBs and start-ups to multinationals and the public sector, making for a diverse and exciting caseload.

The reason for the firm's rapid growth over the past five years comes down to the talented individuals, that are a mix of homegrown, up and coming lawyers and strategic hires that have seen them enter a trajectory that is the envy of their competitors. This means that you can expect to be surrounded by some of the UK's most technically strong lawyers, whilst having the opportunity to progress your career in line with the firm's growth.

The Role:

You will join this Legal 500 recognised Employment team as a Senior Associate, in the firm's state of the art Liverpool office.

The team handles a broad range of contentious & non-contentious work on behalf of employers. They work across a wide range of industry sectors, with a strong presence and reputation across insurance, e-commerce, and the health and care industry. The Employment team deals with a wide range of company sizes from start-ups to multinationals; this variety will give you exposure to interesting work that will make for a challenging, yet rewarding caseload.

You will handle a varied caseload of High Court Litigation, restrictive covenant disputes, Breach of Contract, and discrimination. On the non-contentious side, the work you undertake will include large scale redundancies, TUPE, employment contracts, and advising on Employment Law changes.

As a senior member of the team, you will oversee the junior lawyers and assist in their ongoing learning and development. The firm has a leadership programme in place that is well-known throughout the industry for developing senior lawyers into proven leaders and covers everything from motivating a team to creating a high-performance environment. This training will give you the necessary tools to step up into a Partner role and become one of the firm's future leaders.

Requirements:

* You will be an Employment Solicitor with a minimum of seven years' experience (there is no upper limit in regards to the amount of experience)
* You will have a strong background in both contentious & non-contentious Employment Law on behalf of employers
* Ability to build strong relationships with other departments within the firm, and the clients that you work with
* Experience within the insurance, technology or e-commerce sectors is preferred, but not essential
* You will be a commercially minded individual and will thrive on building client relationships and marketing your practice

This is a stand-out opportunity to join a respected Employment team at one of the UK's leading law firms, based in their Liverpool office.
