Planning Solicitor

This is a fantastic development opportunity for a Planning Solicitor with a well respected Birmingham based regional Legal 500 commercial practice.

My client is an established and well regarded Birmingham based full service firm, with particular strength in its commercial services. The firm work with a range of commercial clients providing contentious and non-contentious business services. As part of its ongoing business strategy it is looking to build on the existing Planning Law offering and accordingly seek to recruit an experienced Planning Solicitor with somewhere in excess of 4 or 5 years PQE.

Working as part of an existing small team, the remit here will be to develop and expand the Planning practice. The firm is taking an open minded approach when it comes to candidate applications and will equally consider Lawyers from private practice or local authorities, and given the nature of planning work, someone with experience in both sectors may be well suited for this role. Also, someone who has worked within the Birmingham or West Midlands market may find themselves at an advantage when it comes to future market and business development opportunities, particularly if you already have a strong local professional network.

Work broadly includes contentious and non-contentious matters often concerning the NHS, renewable energy projects and some topical matters such as HS2.
