Court of Protection Paralegal

A leading Manchester law firm are looking for a Court of Protection Paralegal to join their specialist team. 

In this role, you’ll assist a Court of Protection Deputy who has recently joined the firm and provide support to the wider Court of Protection department. You’ll be exposed to interesting and complex work and have the chance to learn from more senior colleagues and to develop your skills. 

The firm are very flexible in their approach and having seen the majority of their team working successfully from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue to offer home-working to their lawyers going forwards.  

This position would be perfect for a paralegal already working within Court of Protection, or a clinical negligence or private client paralegal who is familiar with Court of Protection matters and is interested in moving into this area.

Court of Protection Paralegal – Home-based The company & role 

A regional serious injury firm with a national reputation 
In this role, you’ll join a friendly and supportive team and provide assistance, both legal and administrative, to Court of Protection Deputies 
You’ll also provide support to more senior Court of Protection fee-earners and solicitors in the administration of the financial affairs of clients  

The team act on behalf of families of children with cerebral palsy, adults with severe brain injuries, adults with learning difficulties and elderly clients with dementia 
The firm have been recognised by both Chambers and the Legal 500 and are featured in The Times Best Law Firms 2021 
They support a number of national and local charities including Headway, The Spinal Injuries Association and the Child Brain Injury Trust 
Commutable from Manchester, Cheshire, Warrington, Lancashire and High Peak

The ideal candidate 

A Court of Protection Paralegal, Private Client or Clinical Negligence Paralegal with at least 12 months’ experience  
Will have an empathetic, personable, calm and caring nature  

Will have excellent client care and communication skills 
Will be well-organised with very good attention to detail
