In-house Counsel - Commercial, IP & Corp & Co Sec

Exciting role for commercial lawyer to add expertise in IP & co sec - 4/5 days, 1-2 days on site

I am currently instructed by a key client seeking a commercial in-house lawyer for this vital role, advising on all commercial legal aspects of the organisation from infrastructure matters to supporting key divisions such as marketing and communications and procurement.

The organisation is looking for an experienced and commercially focused lawyer to work closely with internal stakeholders, providing strategic advice and legal counsel to the business and often representing the legal team at working groups. Legal matters will include not only general contract and procurement advice, but also advising on operational, corporate, supporting on company secretarial matters, IP (brand protection issues), litigation and compliance. Experience of instructing external counsel would be beneficial but is not essential.

To be of interest for this role you will have a minimum of 4 years PQE (to more senior), a commercial contracts background and will also have a strong track record in giving commercial legal advice to the highest level of clients/stakeholders. Lawyers from a private practice background will be of equal interest as those already in-house. You should be a strong communicator, very commercially aware and able to work within a highly collaborative environment.

This is a fantastic in-house role, perfect for someone keen to perform a pivotal role within an organisation and make a real difference. On offer is an attractive remuneration package, including bonus and excellent benefits. Only lawyers with UK experience will be considered. The role can be 4 or 5 days per week, likely to be 1-2 days in the office post Covid (to be confirmed).
