This Top 100 law firm has doubled in size in the past 5 years and has ambitious plans to build on this. You will join a heavy-hitting team of Partners and Lawyers, many of whom are individually recognised in the Legal 500. The firm has an impressive amount of homegrown Partners, and you will be supported to develop your technical ability and progress your career.

The practice has an extremely diverse client base, making for an interesting caseload. You will often find clients who have International interests and assets. On the business side, they work with household FTSE 250 names and many tech and other start-up OMB.

The Role:

This is a stand-out opportunity for a Planning Associate to join this highly regarded Top 100 firm, based in Manchester City Centre.

The team handles a broad range of high-quality matters on behalf of a National and International client base. The firm has a strong sector presence across health, insurance, sport, and technology, making for an interesting and diverse caseload. The role will cover the full range of planning work, including strategic planning advice, review of planning applications, planning obligations, advice on CIL etc.

You will gain exposure to complex and high-value transactions and will work side by side with the team's renowned Partners, who offer a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from.

You will find that this role comes with a high level of career investment, and you will be supported to achieve your career aspirations and goals. The firm has a track record of promoting from within; over 80% of their current Partners came in at trainee/junior level and worked their way up.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Planning Lawyer with at least 2 years' experience (there is no upper limit in regards to the amount of experience)
  • You will have a strong background in Planning Law with experience managing your own caseload.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both clients and colleagues
  • Able to undertake marketing and business development in order to contribute to profitability
