Mid-level Associate – Leveraged Finance
Are you an experienced banking lawyer who stepped away from a career in a private practice? Did you gain experience working in leveraged finance prior to your leaving? Perhaps you took a complete break, or perhaps went freelance and got stuck working below your potential. Do you find yourself considering a return, motivated by the desire to get your career back on track, the opportunity for further personal development and, frankly, doing more rewarding work?
The Reignite Academy is a flexible, development-focused programme that helps City trained lawyers return to careers in private practice. Our member law firm is a leading UK firm who has taken Reignite Associates in to their team in the past and successfully supported them back to their career.
They presently have another opportunity for a Reignite Associate to join their Banking leveraged finance team. The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience gained in a private practice city firm
- Have gained at least 3 to 4 years of experience working in leveraged finance prior to career break
- Be keen to re-establish their private practice career in a leading banking team
What support is on offer?
The programme is designed to be a supportive way for you to return to your career. Support is available at each step of the way. First interviews include guidance and coaching on career plans and ensuring your CV best represents you. Upon offer with a member firm you will be supported with pre-commencement training, and a further 3 personal one-to-one coaching sessions over the next 6 months. In addition you will be part of a cohort of people who are all in similar career stages to yourself, providing you with a great support network.

The Reignite Academy is a flexible, development-focused programme that helps City trained lawyers return to careers in private practice. The Academy provides returners with the opportunity to join one of our member firms, receiving a six-month period of paid training, coaching and work experience. Part time and/or flexible working is considered for most of our roles. Our member firms have locations across a variety of different locations including London, Bristol, Guildford and Birmingham.
