This Top 100 law firm has a well-established, highly regarded reputation in the City of London, and has grown significantly in recent years. The North West is a crucial area of growth, with a recent state of the art office opening in Manchester. This office will be their Northern hub and will play a pivotal role in the firm's growth as a whole.

Due to their existing reputation, there is work to be fed through from day one from their high profile client base, made up of HNW individuals, SMEs, and national and international PLCs, many of which are household names.

You will join the firm at a genuinely exciting time as they capitalise on record turnover and year on year growth of 35%. Their Manchester office will receive significant investment. You can expect to be equipped with the latest technology and AI, enabling you to perform effectively and provide a high-quality service to your client base.

The Role:

This is a rare opportunity for a Corporate Partner to set up and grow a Corporate department at a well-established, Legal 500 recognised law firm, in Manchester City Centre.

You will have full autonomy to build your practice, with significant investment in resources, marketing, and recruitment. The Corporate Department has an unrivalled reputation in London, and you will be responsible for growing their Manchester presence. There is work to be fed through, consisting of high-value M&A, restructuring and reorganisations, shareholder agreements, transfer and allotment of shares, and flotation of companies on the AIM. Ideally, you will also have a portable practice to get the department up and running quickly.

On a strategic level, you will have real influence over key decisions that will affect culture, direction, and growth, not just in Manchester, but nationally. The firm has exciting plans to grow, and the Manchester office will play a pivotal role in their long term growth aspirations. You will work closely with the Managing Partner, and the other Partners in London to identify areas of growth, giving you an interesting and vital role in the firm's success.

Requirements:

• You will be a Corporate Partner at reputable National or International law firm
• You will have a strong reputation and a portable practice, or network that you can utilise
• Experience leading a team and increasing performance
• Be a commercially astute individual
• Able to contribute to strategic discussion and identify growth opportunity
