Locum Commercial Contracts Team Leader – REMOTE WORKING – Up to £420 per day

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Team Leader to join a dynamic Local Authority in the Northern Home Counties. This contract is offered for an initial period of 3-6 months with an expectation of further extension.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive possessing significant experience gained working within Local Government handling caseloads of Commercial and Procurement matters.

Duties may include:

• Managing a team of specialist lawyers and act as a senior liaison point for clients
• Ensuring the team operates effectively and efficiently with the highest standards of client care, building and maintaining effective working relationships with senior managers in the client departments
• Undertaking complex and high profile legal work within their specialist field
• Advising senior officers and members in a proactive and politically sensitive manner in line with the Council’s vision, values and strategic objectives
• Deputising for the Head of Legal Services when required

An attractive rate of up to £420 per day umbrella is offered dependant on experience, working on a full time basis.
