Locum Prosecutions Solicitor – Midlands (Remote Working) - £40 - £48 per hour – 3 months +
Venn Group is currently working with an established Local Authority based in the Midlands to recruit for a Locum Prosecutions Solicitor for a minimum period of 3 months. Our client is looking for someone to assist them for 30 hours per week across 4 days.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with strong experience conducting advocacy on a range of Prosecution matters with additional Governance experience, including procedural and constitutional law.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Responsibility for a caseload including Planning Enforcement and Environmental Health matters
Dealing with a caseload of criminal litigation and public protection matters in the Magistrates and Crown Court
Preparing and serving necessary papers on behalf of the Local Authority
Drafting Statutory Notices and Agreements across all legal services functions, mainly focusing on Trading Standards
Acting as the Local Authorities advocate in respect of criminal and civil proceedings across a range of regulatory functions, and in respect of other tribunal and inquires proceedings
Carrying out legal research as required
The client are able to offer an hourly of rate of £40 - £48 per hour umbrella dependent on experience.
