Senior Lawyer (Childcare Team)

Are you looking for an exciting career opportunity with the opportunity to lead and supervise others as well as handle a complex caseload? If so, then come and be one of our four Senior Lawyers, join a 20 strong childcare legal team and enjoy the dedicated support of a 121 legal officer.

This post is eligible for attraction supplements of up to 15% of annual gross salary available for up to 2 years.

Areas of Practice: Public childcare law, including pre-proceedings, care proceedings, fostering and adoption. Do you have experience in this field or can you evidence good transferable skills (including advocacy) with reference to private law family proceedings to move into this fast-paced area of the law? Do you have experience of handling a busy and varied caseload? Can you demonstrate good technical skills? Do you command the respect and trust of colleagues and clients? Are you a problem solver? Applicants must hold a recognised legal professional qualification and be entitled to practice as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Solicitor or Barrister, having acquired at least 3 years relevant post-qualification experience. A driving licence is also essential due to the need to travel across the County to fulfil the requirements of the role. You will be  given a nominated contractual work base and once current restrictions are lifted you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
