Contracts Manager - Commercial Contracts Paralegal

This Manchester based organisation plays a crucial role in supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students in achieving their academic ambitions. Due to further investment, the executive team is looking to appoint a dedicated commercial contracts manager to join in a newly created role.

Your new role
Reporting into the CEO, your role will be centred around commercial contracts within the higher education sector as well as supporting on legal and corporate compliance matters. You will mainly be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing a range of commercial contracts and agreements. As you will be working closely with the senior leadership team, you will also support on broader projects to support the business from a legal perspective.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have a strong appreciation for contract law with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements. You will either be a seasoned commercial contracts officer / manager or legal assistant with commercial contracts experience in-house or have worked as a commercial contracts paralegal in private practice. Ideally you will have a legal academic background either as a law / LPC graduate or qualified as a Legal Executive. You must have excellent communication and relationship building skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and challenge where necessary. Qualified solicitors with an interest in working in a contracts management role will also be considered.
