Our Client is a leading South Wales firm. They are looking for a Solicitor / Fee Earner to join the Litigation team in South Wales which specialises in defending public and employers liability claims.

The role

You will be responsible for handling your own caseload of employers liability/ public liability claims from instruction through to settlement, including litigation.

Successful candidates must have EL/ PL experience and will be able to handle a busy caseload with minimal supervision.

To handle your own caseload of predominately fast track and some multi-track claims.

Other types of law:

Housing disrepair
Property damage

You may also be required to carry out tasks that fall within the wider remit of the role.

Person specification

Experience of defending litigated claims, preferably claims.
Knowledge of local authority clients and insurers preferable.
Previous experience at managing defendant EL/PL claims
Willingness to present cases in the county court
Excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation
Excellent organisation, time management, communication and IT skills
Ability to work to strict deadlines
