Job Details

We are working with a major national law firm to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor in Sheffield. This is an entrepreneurial, collegiate team which is performing strongly and can offer you a varied workload and ample opportunity to progress into management for those who have an interest in it.

The team handles a mix of commercial and property litigation matters, acting on behalf of a client base of commercial clientele from SMEs right through to large PLCs. This will include disputes from smaller day to day files right through to complex, large scale multi million pound matters. The team will consider applicants with experience in both Property and Commercial litigation or those who have specialised in one or the other - given the structure of the team, work can be distributed in accordance with strengths and interests within the department. The role has scope to involve supervision and management duties and for someone to get involved more widely in things like tendering for work etc. Experience in these areas will be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite and those with enthusiasm and an interest in this, will be fully supported in their learning and development.

The ideal applicant for this busy legal team will have around 2 years solid litigation experience (whether pre or post qualification) and strong commercial acumen. The firm really values employee well-being and has adapted well to remote working practices - some split of home and office working will be available longer term where preferred.
